Intangible assets, a key role in Smes financing

The intangible assets valuation is a critical factor in Smes access to finance, as it provides the bank with a set of information that will improve the effectiveness of the risk assessment process. An European Project has developed a methodology for the evaluation of intangible assets of Smes in agreement with financial stakeholders and intermediaries. The results confirm that intangibles assets are relevant in order to ensure Sme’s competitiveness and risk assessment but highlight the need of standardized methods
