Interaction and coherence among different prudential measures

The ample and relevant process of banking and financial regulation review has not yet come to an end. Some measures have already been implemented, others are currently being monitored, still others are being discussed and calibrated in the international fora. At present, a careful analysis of coherence, interaction and possible overlap among different indicators becomes pivotal. Limiting to evaluate the effectiveness of a single instrument alone could prove inefficient and lead to unintended consequences. In this paper, we try to analyse some possible interactions among different measures, highlighting some caution which is needed while calibrating the regulatory instruments
