The Russian-Ukrainian conflict represents a new watershed in the history of Europe and will have a significant impact on the Italian economy and on credit, which showed positive signs thanks to the good management of the pandemic and the effectiveness of business support measures in the Covid crisis. New rules on banks are needed to support investment in reconversion and the transition to a digital and sustainable economy. Many measures are needed to prevent the formation of non-performing loans and to facilitate their management by banks, in the interests of the economy and businesses.
