Financial knowledge and competence: a survey on Italian financial advisors and their customers

The effectiveness of the interaction between financial advisors and investors has been analyzed in a research project by Consob, Finer and Roma Tre University. This is a topic of great importance as the presence of any dystonia in the relations could lead to a greater sensitivity of intermediaries towards increasing the quality of dialogue and awareness of the relationships. The main aspects of the relationship have been highlighted, including clients’ expectations, the management of emotions, the sharing of information, the use of robo advice platforms. The specific role played by technology has emerged with evidence.
