The future of market supervision and Consob considering ongoing changes

Consob, the Italian financial markets Authority, is undergoing rapid transformation to keep up with the changes in the ecosystem of financial markets, in particular digital and ecological transition. This is the picture that emerges from the three-year Strategic Plan of the Regulatory and Supervisory Authority on the markets in Italy, engaged in a renewal effort in line with the broader processes launched with the National recovery plan and in Europe with the Next Generation Eu plan. Regulatory simplification, promotion of access for companies, even small ones, to the capital markets, use of Artificial Intelligence in supervisory activities, financial education, environmental, social and governance sustainability: these, in short, are the guidelines that characterize the action of Consob today and in the years to come.
