Interview with Yale philosopher Luciano Floridi, author of Filosofia dell’informazione («Philosophy of Information»): we need a new branch in philosophy that reflects on the Artificial Intelligence revolution in our lives. «Machines today perform complex tasks such as translations, which seemed impossible only a few years ago. But they do not understand the semantic meaning of what they process». Fundamental, he stresses, is the importance of distinguishing between true and false information, while recognizing nuances and opinions, and the need to find criteria against fake news without falling into censorship. «The impact of Ai – he observes – will change everything. And in finance, it will impact risk management, the fight against money laundering and personalized portfolio care».
