The sanctioning measures introduced by the Aml Italian regulation show critical aspects and inconsistencies, among which the distribution of sanctioning competences between Supervisory Authorities and the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Intermediaries and Authorities are facing a complex legislative framework that has already requested interpretative interventions by the State Council and the Court of Cassation. The need to reorganize, simplify and rationalize the current Aml legislation in a Consolidated Act has therefore become urgent.
