The 2021 Consob Report on the investment choices of Italian households provides an overview of the evolution of domestic wealth and financial investments during the pandemic. Alongside an increase in liquidity in Italian portfolios, there has been a rise in financial markets participation. New investors are characterised by lower financial and digital skills and declare themselves to be financially fragile more frequently than more experienced investors.
