Mario Draghi’s post-pandemic policy rules

In his recent Rimini speech, former Ecb president Mario Draghi makes several interesting policy remarks, from which we can draw suggestions on how post-Covid European economic policy ought to be. In particular, the article underlines that Draghi seems to advocate a discretionary policy approach from which three basic principles for post-pandemic European policy follow: the control of inflation, the emphasis on the quality of debt and structural reforms.
