Since every organization operates in a competitive context defined by contingent and interrelated factors of various kinds (technological, regulatory, social, economic, environmental and political) in continuous evolution, organizational resilience, defined as the ability to absorb shocks and adapt to a changing environment, becomes a strategic issue. The banking and financial sector, both for intermediaries and for the Authorities, at the individual and systemic level, is also exposed to changes that require to go beyond the traditional approaches of financial and operational resilience to reach the organizational one. In this perspective, a role of strategic importance is played by the risk monitoring system.
