The new European Commission has to face unprecedented challenges, finding itself operating in a geopolitical context that is much more complex and also more difficult than in the past. To protect Europe, its citizens and businesses, and to achieve the ambitious goals it has set itself, a profound adaptation is necessary by rethinking some regulations conceived during the previous mandate. Without protectionist intentions but to ensure that the value created by European companies, especially in the financial sector, is not drained outside the Eu, preventing Europe itself from benefiting from it.
