Savings and credit for development

We call on the Ecb to fight inflation and avoid a new recession: above all, we need to encourage development. Investments of savings in banks, especially with a fixed term, combat the risks of credit rationing. After years of recapitalisations carried out by shareholders and banks together with trade unions and workers, risks, including international ones, are rising again. There are new signs of credit deterioration that require further provisioning. More flexible rules are needed for banks, firms and households to restructure non-performing loans: the hope is that Eba will improve rigid regulation.
