Sustainable transition: needs and opportunities

Governments and institutions at international, and especially European, level have placed sustainability at the center of the political and regulatory agenda. But the call for a greater commitment to banks’sustainability comes not only from the regulator but from all stakeholders, investors, customers, Ngos and communities in the broadest sense, attentive observers of the policies and guidelines implemented in the Esg field. Intesa Sanpaolo’s 2022-2025 Business Plan is a concrete example of how a large banking group faces the difficult challenge of climate change and the transition to more sustainable production and consumption models.
