Financial and social inclusion, infrastructures and assistive devices, multi-channel systems, universal design and multisensoriality are the cornerstones of an environment designed to meet the needs of people. The regulatory framework in this field is very complex and not easy to apply. The directive concerning the European Accessibility Act could provide for a greater harmonization of existing different legislations, introducing legal certainty and facilitating the various parties involved, including banks, in their commitment to foster accessibility.
