The recent debate about the possibility, of the central banker, adopting its own digital currency (Central Banks Digital Currency or Cbdc), as well as the great attention that increasingly raises the issue of crypto-assets requires some legal considerations on the different categories of public and private currencies that currently exist, in order to highlight similarities and diversities.
