In the last three years, despite an unfavorable demographic trend, economic growth has been stronger in Italy than in other Eurozone countries. The economy is performing well, with general positive macroeconomic trends. However, one more step is needed. The major global transformations require a change of pace in order to catch up in some sectors as well as to further enhance already established points of strengths. In this scenario, banks play an essential role by continuing to be the operational arm of the economy, supporting entrepreneurs, who every day undertake risks to do business and make Italy competitive.
