On the 50th anniversary of the death of Stefano Siglienti (1898-1971), President of ABI since its reconstitution in 1945, the Association recalled his thought and action by promoting, in agreement with the Luigi Einaudi Institute, a volume that collects the complete texts of the 14 speeches delivered by Siglienti to the ABI Assemblies he chaired. The result is a leading character, always consistent with his convictions regarding the need for a programming practice focused on monetary stability and the formation of savings seen as a fundamental act of sociality, as well as on the consequent centrality of the role assigned to banks.
